IF GEORGE BUSH WAS AN IDIOT....
If George W. Bush had been the first President to need a teleprompter
installed to be able to get through a press conference, would you have
laughed and said this is more proof of how inept he is on his own and is
really controlled by smarter men behind the scenes?
If George W. Bush had spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to take Laura
Bush to a play in NYC, would you have approved?
If George W. Bush had reduced your retirement plan's holdings of GM stock
by 90% and given the unions a majority stake in GM, would you have
approved?
If George W. Bush had made a joke at the expense of the Special
Olympics, would you have approved?
If George W. Bush had given Gordon Brown a set of inexpensive and
incorrectly formatted DVDs, when Gordon Brown had given him a thoughtful
and historically significant gift, would you have approved?
If George W. Bush had given the Queen of England an iPod containing videos
of his speeches, would you have thought this embarrassingly narcissistic
and tacky?
If George W. Bush had bowed to the King of Saudi Arabia , would you have
approved?
If George W. Bush had visited Austria and made reference to the
non-existent "Austrian language," would you have brushed it off as a minor
slip?
If George W. Bush had filled his cabinet and circle of advisers with
people who cannot seem to keep current in their income taxes, would you
have approved?
If George W. Bush had been so Spanish illiterate as to refer to "Cinco de
Cuatro" in front of the Mexican ambassador when it was the 5th of May
(Cinco de Mayo), and continued to flub it when he tried again, would you
have winced in embarrassment?
If George W. Bush had mis-spelled the word "advice" would you have hammered
him for it for years like Dan Quayle and potatoe as proof of what a dunce he
is?
If George W. Bush had burned 9,000 gallons of jet fuel to go plant a
single tree on Earth Day, would you have concluded he's a hypocrite?
If George W. Bush's administration had okayed Air Force One flying low
over millions of people followed by a jet fighter in downtown Manhattan
causing widespread panic, would you have wondered whether they actually
get what happened on 9-11?
If George W. Bush had failed to send relief aid to flood victims
throughout the Midwest with more people killed or made homeless than in
New Orleans , would you want it made into a major ongoing political issue
with claims of racism and incompetence?
If George W. Bush had created the position of 32 Czars who report directly to
him, bypassing the House and Senate on much of what is happening in America ,
would you have approved.
If George W. Bush had ordered the firing of the CEO of a major
corporation, even though he had no constitutional authority to do so,
would you have approved?
If George W Bush had proposed to quadruple the national debt, which had taken
more than two centuries to accumulate, in one year, would you have
approved?
If George W. Bush had then proposed to quadruple the debt again within 10
years, would you have approved?
So, tell me again, what is it about Obama that makes him so brilliant and
impressive? Can't think of anything? Don't worry. He's done all this in 7
months -- so you'll have three years and five months to come up with an
answer.

It fucking amazes me that you can post biased swill like this, and have a clue that it is justified..Obama has made his share of mistakes, and his performance thus far is not exacly what I would call "Change you can believe in"..He has fallen way short of my expectations, and Im sure Im not the only liberal that is disappointed..Having said that, lets give credit where its due..Whatever mistakes Obama has made, doesnt exonerate any of the dispicable shit that Bush and his cronies pulled, and there is a long list of scandals attributed to his Admin..Enjoy your sick sense of satisfaction while it lasts..And if Sarah Palin runs for Prez in 2012, support her with your vote, and if she wins, you can live to witness the final chapter in the undoing of this country..Its about time people take off their partisan blindfolds, and smell the coffee..Enjoying the short lived privilege of bieng able to say "Ha! Ha!..I told you so", isnt going to right a floundering vessel, but Thank You for the petty, irrelvant, exaggerated enlightenment

This has to be some of the dumbest words spoken by a human not covered in hair and living in a cave.
Bush was so repugnant that even his own party couldn't stand his stence and they ran away from him during the campaign.
The reason Obama is the president can be summed up in two words .. George Bush.
No more republican boogeyman?
:lmao2:
Do you own a TV? .. If so, two words .. Sarah Palin.
If so, four words .. the entire Republican Party .. currently supported by 19% of Americans. NINETEEN PERCENT
Obama is not a great president .. but to suggest that GEORGE FUCKING BUSH or the Republican Party is any better is dumb as fuck.
"IF" George Bush was dumb?

No it doesn't suck for the shoe to be on the other foot. Having lived through 8 years of the worst president in my lifetime who left this country in shambles, it's like a breath of fresh air to have a legitimately elected president who actually gives a damn about the people. No amount of partisan bullshit that attempts to diminish Obama in order to make the incompetency of Bush look good will change the mind of most Americans. The baby that was handed over was cared for by a mentally challenged group and was severely underweight, dressed in rags and had to be put on a respirator. What is going to really suck for you is coming to the realization that one actually voted for and supported the idiocy of the past presidency.

How's that "hope and change" working out for you?

The Real Che Guevara
An essay by Dr. Douglas Young, Professor of Political Science & History at Gainesville State College
February 10, 2009
Hollywood has dutifully churned out yet another cinematic agitprop paean to a leftist “martyr,” this time Ernesto Guevara. So let’s recall the real “Che” and try to discern why many supposedly democratic, civil libertarian liberals still swoon over this Stalinist mass-murderer.
The meticulous myth of Senor Guevara is of a handsome Argentine heroically helping Fidel Castro’s guerrillas liberate Cuba from Fulgencio Batista’s military dictatorship in 1959. Then he became a global revolutionary icon inspiring the downtrodden to rise up everywhere, even personally leading rebel warriors in the Congo before being executed doing the same in Bolivia in 1967. The (communist) party line says Che personifies the selfless humanitarian courageously fighting for “social justice.” He’s the Marxists’ martyred Christ figure replete with pictures of his half-naked corpse riddled with bullet holes. And the classic poster of an angry young Guevara has scarred countless college dorm rooms for over 40 years, putting a face on the eternally young rebel for angry adolescents everywhere.
The real Guevara was a reckless bourgeois adrenaline-junkie seeking a place in history as a liberator of the oppressed. But this fanatic’s vehicle of “liberation” was Stalinism, named for Soviet dictator Josef Stalin, murderer of well over 20 million of his own people. As one of Castro’s top lieutenants, Che helped steer Cuba’s revolutionary regime in a radically repressive direction. Soon after overthrowing Batista, Guevara choreographed the executions of hundreds of Batista officials without any fair trials. He thought nothing of summarily executing even fellow guerrillas suspected of disloyalty and shot one himself with no due process.
Che was a purist political fanatic who saw everything in stark black and white. Therefore he vociferously opposed freedoms of religion, speech, press, assembly, protest, or any other rights not completely consistent with his North Korean-style communism. How many rock music-loving teens sporting Guevara t-shirts today know their hero supported Cuba’s 1960s’ repression of the genre? How many homosexual fans know he had gays jailed?
Did the Obama volunteers in that Texas campaign headquarters with Che’s poster on the wall know that Guevara fervently opposed any free elections? How “progressive” is that?
How socially just was it that Che was enraged when the Russians blinked during the 1962 Cuban missile crisis and withdrew their nuclear missiles from the island, thus averting a nuclear war? Guevara was such a zealous ideologue that he relished the specter of millions of Cuban lives sacrificed on the altar of communism, declaring Cuba “a people ready to sacrifice itself to nuclear arms, that its ashes might serve as a basis for new societies.” Some humanitarian.
Che was a narcissist who boasted that “I have no house, wife, children, parents, or brothers; my friends are friends as long as they think like me, politically.” This is a role model for today’s “post-political” voters claiming we should get beyond partisanship?
Adding to the ridiculousness of the Che cult is that he was virtually a complete failure. As a medical doctor, he never even had a practice. When put in charge of the Cuban economy at the start of Castro’s government, his uncompromising communist diktats ran it completely into the ground, from which it never recovered. Humiliated, and also angry that Castro wasn’t fomenting enough revolution abroad, he then tried to lead such quixotic adventures in Argentina, the Congo, and Bolivia, failing miserably everywhere while sacrificing the lives of scores of naïve, idealistic young followers as deluded pawns in the service of his personality cult.
Another reason he fled Cuba in the mid-1960s was the complete mess he made of his private life. Though he preached sexual purity to his colleagues, he was a shameless adulterer who abandoned two wives and many children, some legitimate, others not. As a grandson put it, “he was never home.” The public Che who supposedly had such great love for humanity privately couldn’t stand most folks.
Guevara’s promiscuous communist adventurism was the pattern of a terminal adolescent running away from his problems to get caught up in some heroic crusade against his eternal bete noir, “Yankee imperialism.”
So why do so many well-heeled American libs still admire this thug? Are the young simply ignorant of his execrable record and drawn to the image of the dashing young rebel? Do older progressives feel guilt for their free market prosperity, and showing solidarity with Che absolves them? Do hippies-turned-yuppies get nostalgic for their youthful protests and rationalize that the symbolism of Che as a “social reformer” eclipses his actual horrific human rights record? And are some American Guevaraistas truly dangerous leftists who seek to emulate their icon and destroy our free, democratic, capitalist society? Ask that guy wearing the Che t-shirt.

We're in agreement. There is no health care crisis except for the one in the media that is kept going by the constant drumbeat of the democrat party to move their agenda of government health care.
The healthcare "reform" is a sham..I have, by no decision or virtue of myself been on both sides of the private..(Blue Cross..Yeah, I carried one of those cards for years..Paid out of pocket for it too).. and on govt healthcare.(Medicare)..And the Medicare covers far more than my Blue Cross plan..(that I could afford)..covered, when the plan was good..That BC Plan went from covering about 80% of my medical to a $3,000 deductable
I also have a disease that corporate pharma doesnt want to see anyone find a cure for, cuz truth be told, Im worth more sick to them, than I am healthy..The very ppl who advocate a cure for Parkinsons, probably dont wanna see a cure either, cuz, the truth of that matter is, out off the millions, and millions of dollars raised for research, they are the beneficiaries..not us sick ppl
So do I think Obama is going to represent the interests of the people..or the interests of corporate America with his healthcare "reform?"
If you picked corporate America, then you have chosen status quo "you can believe in"
If you picked "the people"..then you picked "the audacity of fantasy"
Would I like to see affordable healthcare insurance for those who want it, those who need it, as opposed to those who want it, but dont wanna pay for it..A healthcare bill that actually works?..Yes!..Do I think I'm gonna see one?..No!
There are always going to be a percentage of people who will not pay for insurance, but go to the ER and stick the hospital with the bill..What do you do with them?..What are we doing with them now?..Nothing..A reality of society..Deadbeats
My wallet contains my insurance card and I pay for my own health insurance.
As I said..Been there..Done that..I was self employed most of my life, and when you are paying $365 a month, back in 2004 for a $3,000 deductable Blue Cross plan, and its all you can afford, then you've got yourself a personal crisis..And where I live, Blue Cross is the only show in town, there are no other inexpensive options..Tufts and Havard Pilgrim moved out of my state, and left Blue Cross as the only rational choice other than wefare

He's done all this in 7
months -- so you'll have three years and five months to come up with an
answer.
George W. Bush is still a fucking idiot with 2 eyes. George W. Bush will be fucking idiot the day he dies. George W. Bush will go down in history as a fucking idiot!!!http://www.joplinindependent.com/display_article.php/jesse-h1159649228:lmao2: :lmao2: :lmao2:

That's awful. Work your tail off for decades and have your refirement benefits cut....sucks man. I have a cousin who has worked in upper mgmt at BCBS since 1985. Do you know if they are cutting bennies in other states as well?
I dont know what other states are doing, but my friend was talking a 75% reduction in pension, cuts in medical and Rx coverage, and he is in his 70's and has had some serious health problems

He's not a happy camper, but the reality is, the economy is in the shitter, and these are the kinds of things that happen as a result

Yes, they are. Pension plans are being restructured and stopped in Florida.
So the long term people will still have some retirement plan money to retire on? (I'm assuming it is like a 401(k) where both parties contribute.)

That's a rotten shame. I wish him the best with his health. (Jeez, it sounds so lame what with all the disappointments he's facing.) :(
