The race issue already has consumed almost an entire week of non-stop news cycles. Do you have any idea how much a sitting president has on his plate to deal with? Especially THIS president? "Race" isn't something solvable by just talking about it and then it goes away and on to something else. Why the hell should he spend one more second talking about it? Obama was wise to slam the lid on the latest uproar and move ON!!

And you're absolutely wrong about Hillary Clinton being sent off on boondoggles. As Secretary of State, the job doesn't JUST deal with hot spots. Much of it involves diplomatic relations with foreign countries which could BECOME hot spots. And believe it or not, most of those countries are in Africa. We have envoys to the Mideast and southeast Asian counties demanding immediate attention. She doesn't need to be in all places all at once all the time.

And oh, yeah, you can thank Rahm Emanuel in part for the House health care reform bill being so loaded with fat that it has been chewed up and spit out. What do you think Rahm's JOB is? Try liaison to the legislative branch. He has a lot of power and is good buds with Nancy Pelosi. I almost think he will be out before the next election cycle.

President Obama needs to use his administration in a much more intelligent way.

He needs to stop back peddling on the issues he raises. Just don't make any further promises if you can't actually keep them...wait, scratch that. Don't make any promises. Anything you do actually achieve will be looked at as an accomplishment anyway.

Health Care has become the great "I don't want to talk about it" subject with Democrats.

They are retreating into their own lives again, to try and survive the destruction caused by George Bush and the Crash of the Stock Market. Lets face it. The Majority of the Democrats are not Latte sipping Limo babies with trust funds and rich ketchup heiresses as wives....

Democrats have actually stepped back in the conversation and in the support of the issues and situations of the day. They need to stop sitting on their hands, and contact their representatives. The phone book will list the numbers of your Congressman and Senators. Here's a tip....don't worry whether your senator or congressman is a D, an R or an I. Just call them and tell them what you want. I wouldn't tell them what you want them to do, but what you want and how it relates to you personally. You are their constituent, someone in their office WILL talk to you, I guarantee it.

Have you ever been to one of his townhall meetings?

I missed the last ones but did attended one a while back. He skipped Elk Grove this summer and held his "Health care Town Hall" meetings in Ranch Cordova and Galt.

I was in contact with his aids and his office after the meeting with concerns about medicare coverage of oxygen being cut off. I didn't get picked to ask a question. (Sure I get picked to ask Shatner a question he spends 20 rambling on about) Congress did not take away oxygen, but did start a test program in one state.
