Why is President Barack Obama in such a hurry to get his socialized medicine bill passed?
Because he and his cunning circle realize some basic truths:
The American people in their unimaginable kindness and trust voted for a pig in a poke in 2008. They wanted so much to believe Barack Obama was somehow better and different from other ultra-leftists that they simply took him on faith.
They ignored his anti-white writings in his books. They ignored his quiet acceptance of hysterical anti-American diatribes by his minister, Jeremiah Wright.
They ignored his refusal to explain years at a time of his life as a student. They ignored his ultra-left record as a "community organizer," Illinois state legislator, and Senator.
The American people ignored his total zero of an academic record as a student and teacher, his complete lack of scholarship when he was being touted as a scholar.
Now, the American people are starting to wake up to the truth. Barack Obama is a super likeable super leftist, not a fan of this country, way, way too cozy with the terrorist leaders in the Middle East, way beyond naïveté, all the way into active destruction of our interests and our allies and our future.
The American people have already awakened to the truth that the stimulus bill -- a great idea in theory -- was really an immense bribe to Democrat interest groups, and in no way an effort to help all Americans.
Now, Americans are waking up to the truth that ObamaCare basically means that every time you are sick or injured, you will have a clerk from the Department of Motor Vehicles telling your doctor what he can and cannot do.
The American people already know that Mr. Obama's plan to lower health costs while expanding coverage and bureaucracy is a myth, a promise of something that never was and never will be -- a bureaucracy lowering costs in a free society. Either the costs go up or the free society goes away.
Mr. Obama knows Americans are getting wise and will stop him if he delays at all in taking away our freedoms.
There is his urgency and our opportunity. Once freedom is lost, America is lost. Wake up, beloved America.

Socialized medicine....where do the lizards come up with this stuff?
Ben Stein is a total has been. He used to be a non-partisan individual. But now, it's all about rhetoric for Stein.
Ever since 2008, when he was denying the US economy was headed toward disaster, and was outright smearing those, like Paul Krugman, who foresaw the housing crash Stein has lost all creditibility.

Stein is an idiot. I saw the market going down and was warning of a pending crash two years ago in a debate at the HBO Maher community. Of course I was called paranoid and a "Conspiracy nut".
Stein is an economist.
They all lie.

Blah blah blah. Does Ben Stein still advertise eye drops? If not, he probably still gets them free for life. Hope he shares with Glenn Blech. Whine whine whine.
Health care reform is hardly sudden, and hardly strictly an Obama project. Apparently Benny doesn't know his history.
The rest of his rant is old crap that's been zooming around cyberspace for months and not even worth defending anymore. Apparently Benny doesn't know that, and neither do you.

If you're talking about the bank bailout ...
I believe Bush only spent half and Obama the other half.
And I thought it was initially a plan devised by Geithner, who was head of the New York Fed, who was supposed to be overseeing Wall Street when all the shit went down. You know, the tax cheat Obama made Secretary of the Treasury.
If you're talking about the Stimulus bill, that was completely Obama's idea.

Then that's the bailout - originally conceived by Giethner; of which Bush approved half and Obama the other half, after Obama made Giethner head of the Treasury.

The banks are also paying back the loans, with big interest payments to the taxpayer. They really don't want government interference, surprise surprise, so as fast as that can happen is all the better for them.
What I find most interesting is the constant demonizing of the government "bailing out" (loans, actually) the failed financial institutions instead of demonizing the financial institutions themselves!! I mean just who are the bad guys here? THE BANKS!!! The TARP funds wisely kept the entire credit machine operating so that private industry didn't completely go belly-up.
Now those same banks are once again making record profits MINUS the proposed corrective legislation because of opposition from the right. The government is seen as the bad guy and of course "the government" shouldn't "regulate" anything and should allow the free market to correct itself, according to the same old logic. So I ask to those opposing stricter regulations, how'd that work out before?

yes the ''opposition from the right'' ....how much of a majority does ''the left'' need before people start blaming the ''right'' people?
