Democratic Party chairman Paul G. Kirk Jr?

Federal records show Kirk registered as a lobbyist a decade ago. While Kirk would be banned from lobbying for two years after his appointment ends, he would retain Senate floor privileges, the honorific title "senator" and a coveted Capitol Hill parking space for life.Just another corrupt Washington DC politician getting rich off the backs of the Americans he is suppose to represent.

Kirk graduated from Harvard College and Harvard Law School and served on Kennedy's staff between 1969 and 1977. He ran the Democratic National Committee in the run-up to former Massachusetts Gov. Michael Dukakis' unsuccessful run for president in 1988When are Americans going to learn to stop supporting and electing these Ivy League politicians...All have proven to be greedy and corrupt.

Exactly. Just another privileged good ol' boy.

It just screams term limits and gives us an idea on how stupid we are as a voting base.

I'll say this, it's almost all on the people. If we actively engage in our democracy our society is safe. If not, we have nobody to blame but ourselves.

This guy won't last if the people vote for somebody else in a few months.

That is until he is elected.

Term limits, smaller salaries (reasonable, limited expense reimbursement) and campaign spending limits would be a good start in finding better candidates.

Unfortunately you're right, all a dream.

I'll get Hog-philosophical here by saying that history has shown us one fundamental consistency. The wealthy will always be wealthy and in control.

And if you think the O'bama is some champion for the underclass, then shame on you. He's just another product of the system, only with a different uniform.

I like Obama better than the last dude and the one that ran against him but other than that you will never hear me say he is a champion of the people.

Term limits, how does taking the best possible candidate out of a job help the cause?

Keeps privileged old queens like Kennedy from staying in office until they retire, die of a brain tumor or get assassinated - whichever comes first.

Sounds like a concern better addressed to the people that vote.

In fact, I would have liked to see a Clinton vs Bush showdown in 2000...proving my point.

Tuck yourself in now little boy.
