Once a little girl, no older than 12, told me she didn't need to go to school, she was going to live off welfare while her boyfriend sold drugs.
A few years later I read my home state of GA has a 56% graduation rate.
I was reading somewhere yesterday, that out of a commodity basket of 8 items, like a gallon of milk, a gallon of gas, college tuition, and a few other things, including an 8ball of cocaine...
...The only price which went down during the Bush administration was the price of the 8th of coke.
They didn't say, but I'll bet 20 bucks the price of a bag of heroin went down too.

Not familiar with the economy of drugs, but the price of those other things are going to always steadily climb even with inflation, mostly due to our ever increasing government regulation.
Anyway, its getting away from the point of my thread.
Really? I think it's fascinating that the price of illegal drugs is the only price that's dropping. I guess inflation don't affect the illegal drug marketplace. Must be some magical reversal of the old invisible hand going on there.
Hey, maybe all the druggies are in Iraq?
So that little girl you despise so much is gonna have to have two boyfriends to support all her welfare brats.
That's what they call trickle down economics.

Bill - the price of heroin should have come way down - with the Taliban no longer in power, the poppy farmers have free reign to grow again in Afghanistan (it used to be the #1 export of that country - should be getting back up there soon) - the CIA has always had a free hand in the growers crops for their money similar to the Coke crops in So Amer that led to the Contra affair some time ago
Many insiders are really glad that Afghanistan is back in the hands of the CIA so that they can get that stuff flowing again onto the streets at reasonable prices

Like I said, I don't know much about drug economics, only that government regulations, other than the fact they are illegal, don't affect them like they do those other products.
And I never said I despised the little girl. I felt sorry for her. She has truly been let down by our welfare and educational system.
