we're going to get Osama Bin Laden in Afghanistan - and now that the Commanding General is asking for more troops to get the job done, this asshole puts Afghanistan on the back burner and now is focusing all of his energy on the global warming fiasco.

How many more of our brave men and women are going to die until this imbecile makes a decision?

I am kind of surprised he is not sending everything we have over there.

His whole life was dedicated to giving stuff to the poor and there is no country poorer that Afghan.

He knows nothing else.

This is an example of who has his ear.

Common sense tells you to do what the General needs, but he is listening to people that do not have the militarys safety in mind.

We will see what happens. This is his legacy.

Exactly.

Of all the broken promises and inability to get things done, military and foreign issues are going to be his biggest failure.

"I said a long time ago, one of our objectives is to smoke them out and get them running and bring them to justice," Bush said.
"We're smoking them out. They're running. And now we're going to bring them to justice. I also said we'll use whatever means necessary to achieve that objective -- and that's exactly what we're going to do."

Hey Chief..Is it time for Oprah yet? :lmao2:

Afg. is NOT on the back burner, it's becoming the next BIG war, as Iraq will wind down.

Gen. Mckaskill(sp) will be asking for more troops, we will be going heavy into Afg, and we will accomplish nothing.

It's a corrupt central gov't that has no control 60 miles from Kabul.
Warlords, not Kabul rule the countryside.

There's nothing to accomplish there, except another endless slog

There's nothing to accomplish there....

I specifically remember Obama saying he was going to get Bin Laden in Afghanistan.

So surrender is imminent now, as is another broken campaign promise?

Gotcha.

So why did he send in another 24,000 troops a couple of months ago? It seems that the man can't make up his mind. He hired Gen McChrystal to run the war in Afghanistan. Now McChrystal is asking for the troops to accomplish the mission, but Obama is saying that he has not had time to define the mission.

Say what? You can put together a $750 billion stimulus bill in a couple of weeks, think you can overhaul 1/8th of the US economy by passing healthcare, nationalize the banking and auto industry, apologize to the world for perceived wrongs by this country but you haven't had time to look into defending the United States of America? That should be NUMBER 1 on you list of things to do as a president.

The real problem is that he is NOT worried about doing what is right for the country, he is trying to appease the moderates by sending the 24,000 troops but knows if he gives into McChrystal that he will turn the extremists in is party against him. A REAL leader does not care about party support; A real leader LEADS regardless of his critics and puts the country ahead of himself. Anything resembling a real leader would be a polar opposite to Obama.

I agree - everything's "crisis mode, Gotta get it through Congress right away, we're all gonna die" mode with this guy all the freaking time! Gotta pass this pass that ASAP before we all die!

And he drags his feet on this one?

What a lame-dick decision maker.

Damn right he's appeasing to the LEFT while our men/women are getting killed.

Yet you don't seem at all worried about the men and women who were killed in Iraq.

I just heard this afternoon, McChrystal's been told by Obama to submit his resource request - after having him hold off on it for three weeks. I think the leak was intended to push Obama, by public pressure.
