Calling on computer nerds

This is a unique and funny new feature where you can insert your own comment in the flag atop the smiley.

Problem is, I can't figure out how to apply it once I get my message set up. I want to include some "custom" messages in the flags for my kids, but it won't copy/paste to e-mail or move from My Pictures to any other portal.

I've tried copying the properties, preceded by and it still won't bring up the image.

I'm just your basic Computers For Dummies post-grad, which is probably my problem. So any help would be appreciated.

Okay, what you need to do is click on the object and it will prompt you to either open or save the file. Select open and it will be saved on your hard drive. Next, you need to go to a photo sharing site, such as photobucket.com and upload the pic from your PC to the site. From there you can copy the properties and upload it anywhere you choose.

Thanks much. I'll try it. I've never had to use a sharing website before, though, which is why I couldn't figure it out.

nobull- Another way is to do an attachment if you just want to post the pict..

If you look below the submit reply & the preview post buttons you will see manage attachments........

You can just upload it off you comput for the one post. If you are going to use it multiple times I use photobucket as MInty mentioned.....

Okay, guys, I've played around with Photobucket for about an hour. Got it uploaded and everything's fine; can move it wherever I want, BUT I can't seem to get the actual IMAGE without all the clutter of the album page. I've tried every which way and back, mousing over the image (as suggested in their "help"), but to no avail.

So...Bill...how did you eliminate it? I see you did it by attachment.

Don't have a whole lot more time to play with this. I wanted to surprise one of my boys that mamma can do fancy stuff too, but now I fear I'll have to gt him to show me how. Boo hoo...

I can't remember where I saw it, but I clicked on the properties then on the site. Yes, it does cost $20 if you want to post (I notice there's a place to post anything, so maybe that contains some clues). But you can read only, which is how I found the animated one. The one I saw somewhere else had a smiley holding a sign, like this :saywhat: , and you could paint whatever message you wanted in the sign.

I haven't tried fooling around with again, but when I do I'll try the .gif means as suggested by someone else.

I didn't know they were! Apparently, in read-only, you can copy the images. Sorry if that was an offense.

You can still go to the site and read the "Off Topics" section. Just click on the FORUMS at the main page (which asks for money). I found a thread there on Photoshop. Apparently I'm not the only one who had problems using that.

Yes....I encountered a paypal page with that link. Not worth twenty dollars. Photoshop can copy the giff and then you can rewrite what you want.
