A former soldier talks about how he interprets the Iraq war and the politicking around it

An exerpt:
"Washington is a long way from Baghdad and Kandahar, but it is often the decisions that are made in
Washington that have the deepest impact on those in harms way in these far flung places. To say that U.
S. service members don't have opinions on the war and our leaders here at home is obviously wrong.
This is a group of Americans whose opinions should matter most but who's voices are often silent. Do
our men and women of the armed forces not care about war and politics or is there something else at
play here?"
