This guy thinks the revolution was a good thing.
Thousands protest against Chavez
TENS of thousands marched through Venezuela’s capital on Saturday to protest against what they called growing authoritarianism by President Hugo Chavez, who is on an official visit to several states, including Iran and Syria.
Anti-Chavez protesters are fiercely opposed to the leftist leader who has nationalised much of the economy and this year clamped down on opposition politicians and the media. Critics complain that his forays into neighbouring states’ affairs are damaging Venezuala’s struggling international standing.
Many are also angry about a new education law that boosts the government’s control over schools and universities. Venezuelan children return to school next week after the summer break.
A few thousand of the president’s backers held a separate counter-rally in support of his policies.
Venezuela’s telecommunications chief, Diosdado Cabello, said on Saturday 29 more radio stations would be shut. He also announced a new probe into a television station because the channel allegedly broadcast a ticker strip of text messages from viewers calling for a coup.
Chavez, who was in Tehran at the weekend, has visited Syria, Libya and Algeria over the past week. He is also due to go to Belarus, Russia, Turkmenistan and Spain.
In remarks rebroadcast on Venezuelan television at the weekend, he said Iran would “not back down” in its quest for peaceful nuclear energy.
“There is not a single proof that Iran is building … a nuclear bomb,” Chavez said.

I would think the folks that voted for him would agree......
I think he got a higher percent of the votes then many of our leaders in recent memory...
The bad thing about deumbOcracy is that sometimes they vote in ppl we don't like so that makes them bad ppl.... (tyrants, dictators & democratically elected foreign presidents do our bidding= GOOD, they do the bidding for the majority of their citizens instead=BAD )

But nobody voted for an FCC Diversity Czar - a position Obama created out of the blue, for a guy who praises a man who's shutting down dozens of media sources around his country for disagreeing with his totalitarian policies.

Well I did not vote any of the pigs on the FCC board either & I was totally against their actions on behalf of large media corporations & against the American ppl..............
I have great respect for Gen Powell................ I would kick his sons ass (verbally) given half a chance....
Hopefully this czar can do something about opening up, rather than wraping up the air waves, cable etc....
IMO many voices is far superior than just a few...
