From the non existent "death Panels' to cliched fears of a "socialist " movemenet" which in all honesty I would not mind happening...IF it really was...this country is out of control on a backwards spiral and I sadly see NO end in sight to this lunacy.
what is it going to take for us to get our bearings back and be the super power we once were, not the utter joke to the rest of the world we are now?
Yes Obama isnt keeping to all his promises that he campaigned on and is back peddling on others...I personally am not happy with the guy and am looking forward to this joint session of congress to see him hopefully turn things around and for the first time in months be proud to say I voted for him, That being said he has not been ALL THAT BAD for this country, still bringing a renewed sense of hope to this country after 8 years of big money and corporate power running amuck and being in the back pocket of Dubya and those on the right that see this and also flourished these last 8 years are desperate to have that back cause they see Obama is not gonna put up with it and it kills them. Basically what I am getting at is we all just need to calm down, let cooler heads start prevailing and get back to working on making this country great once again..just my 2-3 cents...PEACE OUT!

Getting us out of the mess that was left over from Pres. Cheney, isn't going to be easy...if at all possible.
What you describe above, will ultimately be a failed ploy by the republicans.
Under no circumstances, will they sit by, and watch the negro fix their mess. Since day one, they've clouded every issue, and attempted to obstruct every attempt at improvement.
Right now, they've rallied the mindless masses, and they're shouting over anyone who attempts to speak. They believe they're riding a wave that will some day help them regain control of the govt.
Fear not...it won't work. At some point, our newly elected leaders will stop trying to work in conjunction with these fools, and move forward.
The repubs. are aligning their pieces, and preparing for the mid term elections. Historically, the youth in this nation don't turn out for these. Rest assured...the dems will once again rally the base, and continue to make headway in the upcoming election.
All they have to do is point to the last 8 months of obstructionist measures by the republicans, and the kids will turn out en masse, to finish what was started in 06.

You must be referring to the drop outs and manual labor job holding kids. We just got word the several grads and MBA's will be at our protest next Saturday as they have a very grim picture of the job market and what the future holds for their planned families under this inexpereinced leader.

I doubt it, it would be against all norms for " the kids" to motivated enough to come out for the midterms.
But it's too early to tell, I've said it at RV, and i'll keep saying it again.
OUTCOMES. that what this president faces, if the economy turns around by the mid-terms ( looking that way ) the Dem's will do well.
If we're still tanking, the Dems will loose a lot of seats.
All presidents are judged on outcomes, but because we were in such a mess when Obama took office, that is going to be the overriding factor in the mid-terms, and 2012.
Hero or the goat time, one or the other.
Ppl have lost patience and confidence in the economy, and while the Pres doesn't control the economy, he gets the praise or the scorn.
