Yes, a long, long time ago I was taught to be kind to others. To give respect where respect is due. To treat the earth kindly as well.

Unfortunately, our masses do need catch phrases. I don't. I suppose millions can't think for themselves. I can.

And I can't stand all the violence and sex in movies. I think it shows a lack of good taste and just drags the nation lower. The same goes for video games. We've been witnessing a breakdown in society for a number of years now. It's become all about "me" and "what can you do for me or give me now?"

Personal responsiblity has flown out the window, taking with it accountability. And yes, our seniors need a hero, but wouldn't it serve them better if people rose to the occasion and contacted their legislators about the programs the seniors need? I'm just asking, that's all. It appears that there's a war on getting old as we seem to treat our seniors as second class citizens. And maybe family members could pull together as well and take care of their loved ones however they could, rather than worrying about what kind of shoe or dress to wear or car to drive. Not all families take care of their eldery members. Many are left alone for months on end, sitting and rotting in nursing homes, without a visitor. So taking care of ones own should be very high on the list.

My main point about this PSA-type video was the way it elevated Obama, as the key factor in dictating how we should be better citizens - being a "servant" of his wishes. As opposed to just doing the right thing, for the common good in general. BTW, the position of President is that of a public servant. Whereas this video has it all backwards, with the participants talking of the masses serving him ....... as well as mankind. Elevating him as some kind of glorified monarch, or spiritual leader akin to Ghandi; being the one who would guide us into a Brave New World.

How many times do I have to tell you, I check everything out. I started a thread on it, of a site that studied the book, which had scanned pages of the book itself - Ecoscience, published in 1977. But nobody wanted to respond.
