Wow! This is awesome.
I just read today that the general public can purchase computers with a speed of 4 Teraflops (around 750 Ghz) with up to 64 Gb of memory for around $8000. The average PC out there now is a round 3 Ghz with up to 4 Gb of memory. Not that the average person has that much to spend, but the possibilities are immense in terms of running scientific simulations and holographic technology.
