I voted for the guy as he's a fiscal conservative but why is he still in office?

Is it Elitism that he's allowed to stay in office when the Neoconservative bloggers and pundits were insisting that Spitzer resign? Rove and the rest of the paid goons funded by Murdoch and Mays went nuts over a Dem but seem much softer on a Rep.

S.C. GOP vents anger over governor's affair

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (AP) — Republican legislators in South Carolina are venting anger over one of their own — Gov. Mark Sanford.
The legislators held their House Majority Caucus meeting Saturday to set their agenda and capped their discussion with no one speaking in favor of the governor.

Rep. Greg Delleney says Sanford should be impeached solely because he disappeared from the state for five days in June to see his mistress in Argentina without leaving anyone clearly in control.

Rep. Annette Young says after an ethics investigation into Sanford's travel is completed, the Legislature should act on impeachment.

But House Speaker Bobby Harrell says there are no plans to call a special session to take up impeachment. The Legislature resumes in January.

That is the difference between you and me SeniorChief. My identity as a person, as a citizen of this country, does not solely revolve around my military service. If you take my service away from my life's resume, I still have a firm foundation to stand on.

As for you? Well... you are absolutely nothing without your service to fall back on. You did your 20 years, and now you are some pissed off drunk who spends hours on the internet bitching about the state of the country you served for 20 years. Your reach of influence does not extend beyond the walls of your house or beyond threads on the internet.

I wouldnt bother giving him the time of day anymore...yes it is sometimes hard not to respond to his idiocy but in the overall picture its best to ignore him...the best response is no response at all...he thrives on riling us up , its like it feeds his ego as seen in the make me a mod post where he proudly responds to a comment by saying " i am just trying to get a rise out of the tards!" yes he gets to me sometimes(like today) but I am trying to practice the best response is no response at all method to dealing with him.

Yeah.. there is a difference between "Search and Rescue" training and
"Survival, Evasion, Resistance, Escape."

I heard that SC tried to say a while back that he experienced waterboarding himself by having water rushed into his face from the helicopter rotors.

It's kinda funny that someone of his stature in the military would use his military experience to justify anything.. even if he has to lie.
