Nice clip. A classic...... (This will be interesting to read once the “smart ppl” get here…)

In the mean time……..

Soros, Buffet, Freeman etc…. Just a few of the great economic names I would not dare to question……..

Did I see Paul Volker & Alan Greenspan back in the audience somewhere??? lol

The topic is greed??? What is that???

Greed in psychology:hi: is an excessive desire to acquire or possess more than what one needs or deserves, especially with respect to material wealth (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greed)

As we often talk here about healthcare lets apply this to that....

Do I want the greediest MF Dr I can find???? :lmao2: ((( Antonyms:
generosity.))))) :dunno: .....

greed (http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/greed)
/grid/ Show Spelled Pronunciation [greed] Show IPA
Use greed in a Sentence
–noun
excessive or rapacious desire, esp. for wealth or possessions.
Origin:
1600–10; back formation from greedy

Related forms:
greedless, adjective
greedsome, adjective

Synonyms:
avarice, avidity, cupidity, covetousness; voracity, ravenousness, rapacity. Greed, greediness denote an excessive, extreme desire for something, often more than one's proper share. Greed means avid desire for gain or wealth (unless some other application is indicated) and is definitely uncomplimentary in implication: His greed drove him to exploit his workers. Greediness, when unqualified, suggests a craving for food; it may, however, be applied to all avid desires, and need not be always uncomplimentary: greediness for knowledge, fame, praise.

Antonyms:
generosity.

The American definition of greed is "a word to describe anyone who has more than I do."

Would Bill Gates be considered greedy?

Even if he was, he changed the world for the better.

I think a line has to be drawn between "Greed" and the desire for wealth and prosperity.

IMO, greed would involve Soros making billions by trying to break the bank of England.

As long as we can still keep it on life support.

Thusfar in history, ALL forms of governace have ulitimately failed. Capitalism will show to suffer a similar death. Un-regulated free enterprise will comsume itself. We are seeing this happen within these last 30 years, due to our ever increasing labor costs - which has forced us to outsource cheaper (albeit limited) locations.

Capitalism needs continuous growth otherwise it will die.:disbelief:

The middle class is shrinking............

If capitalism, as some here preach were unfettered, as they preach, we would all be typing from the library & doing 60 hours work weeks for less pay......

The oligarchs would play us off each other & we could do nothing...

IMO greed is a factor for some- certainly not everyone... Not everything that has been made is a result of greed............. Hell Jonas Salk... Did he do it for greed.............??? Hell no..........

Einstein was a real smart guy............. Who do you think he would have picked to win the NBA title in 1954??? Knicks, Celtics, Warriors, Lakers, Kings, Pistons, Hawks, 76ers...??? Did he know what a linebacker was???

Another reason why our founding fathers wanted us to kill each other on a fairly regular basis...
