I think those people are lunatics as well. You have no room to make the comparison though. By pointing out ridiculous protests from the left to justify the ridiculous protests of the right... you are still acknowledging those yelling and screaming on the right are out of line.

Then came the second war, it energized him and he had a reason to live.

I didn't complain about the crap Bush had to put up with and now the left shouldn't be crying that everyone against their health plan should just "shut up" and accept it because Obama "said so". Let the Senators read the plan and give some substantiative answers to the questions or deal with their constituents.

So he's wanting to penalize people who still get
employer paid benefits, but nothing to help stop the
discrimination or help get health care for all.
Why? what are those taxes going to be used for?
He's not proposing to start a public option with it.
Nothing to stop insurance co's from dropping people
who have paid in and need the services?
That is not an acceptable answer. Greed has driven up the costs,
with the insurance co's wasting 30% and not providing care.
The whole reason government is getting involved is because
of the gap created by the free market.
He's another example of making the story fit his conclusion,
without reality & without solving problems.

In some of these meeting they are not even giving the Senators the chance to give substantiative answers. So your point is moot.

What substantive answers?
All they do is say whatever is asked about isn't true - without actually discussing the wording in the bill.
Does any of this matter, really?
I mean, no matter what comes of all this, in the early morning hours before any actual vote, somebody's going to insert 300 pages of amendments that totally change whatever anybody thought was in the bill.
That's the character of this "New Transparency"

Bullshit.. some of these town hall meetings won't even allow the Senator to say more than one or two sentences.
If you are there to hear him, listen, ask questions, and even criticize. But unorganized chaos achieves absolutely nothing. The Senator can't say more than a few words at a time and everyone in the crowd yells and screams over him/her.
People go into the room not wanting to learn or discuss.. its all screaming matches.
Think we can act like adults for once?

This didn't happen at all the various town meetings around the country. Just the newsworthy ones, because of the sensationalism of the media. People went to express their outrage in some cases. BTW, not all those vocal were conservatives. Some liberals were expressing their anger over the health care bill not going far enough.

Town hall meetings also involve people expressing their sentiments to their representatives. Not just Q & A.
Like I said before, not all of the meetings went the same way. You ever been to a town hall meeting? You have all kinds of people there. And the only people who show up are those who really care about the issue they're there for.

Right wing traitor pundits, on Public Broadcast Air waves, call for murdering 'Liberals'
they are talking about murdering fellow Americans!
They are the traitor terror tyrannists who all patriots should eliminate, if they can not be recovered from insanity.
GLENN BECK:I'm thinking about
killing Michael Moore
and I'm wondering if I could kill him myself, or if I would need to hire somebody to do it. No, I think I could. I think he could be looking me in the eye, you know, and I could just be choking the life out of him. Is this wrong?
RICK KARR: Michael Reagan, son of the former president, suggested that
people who claim that "9/11 was an inside job," a U.S. government conspiracy,
deserve to die.
MICHAEL REAGAN, THE MICHAEL REAGAN SHOW:
Take them out and shoot them.
They are traitors to this country, and shoot them. But anybody who would do that doesn't deserve to live. You shoot them. You call them traitors, that's what they are, and you shoot them dead. I'll pay for the bullet.
. . .
there are a plethora of books which have labeled liberals as evil, unpatriotic, godless and treasonous.
. . .
One of the books has the title: "Deliver Us from Evil: Defeating Terrorism, Despotism and Liberalism."
. . .
One of the books police found in Adkisson's apartment was Michael Savage's "Liberalism is a Mental Disorder." In it, Savage calls liberals "the enemy within our country;" "an enemy more dangerous than Hitler"; "traitors" who are "dangerous to your survival" and who "should be placed in a straightjacket." Like Adkisson, Savage accuses liberals of "[tying] the hands of our military."http://www.pbs.org/moyers/journal/07242009/transcript3.html
Keep in mind, these are people BROADCASTING on OUR PUBLIC AIRWAVES!
but dare i call them the IN FACT traitors they are & return their vile threats in this microscopic forum, & i get banned?
I repeat,
the right wing is a traitor to sanity, science & facts,
& they're poisoning free speech with terror by building up social pressures against it,
& their violent, destroying rhetoric & actions lead only to oblivion & death.
But when they are rabid mindless animals, sometimes one must fight fire with a backfire to shut them down so we may return to some kind of rational, hopefully inspired, discourse of options we can civilly, sanely discuss.

Partisian politics have made it impossible for Congress/ the Executive - even the SCOTUS is polarized.
I'm a life long Dem. I'll never be a Repub. but my allegience to ANY party is lacking now that both sides are more interested in aquring/keeping power than open negotiations with the other party.
One party rule under Bush was the same - shut out the Dems.
Now the Dem's are one party rule - shut out the Repubs.
Fuck 'em both. I'm so disgusted that I remain a registered Dem -
( Florida is a closed primry state, and if i vote in the primary, i'm more interested in the Dem's) -
but i really just consider myself a left leaning Independent.
I have absolutely no use for. or interest in party politics.

And...the few who voiced an opinion didn't do so because of some mass email campaign, that steers the faithful to disrupt meetings.
Bush deserved all the scorn he received....he earned it, in spades.
Obama is getting attacked, because the right is angry that they lost. We'd be halfway to Iran right now, if your party won in Nov..
There's a big difference between righteous indignation, and blatant disruption of the legislative process.

The way I understand it, judging from what one senator said awhile back, was that none of them had even been allowed to see what was in that bill. Maybe they have seen parts of it by now, I don't know. But if not, how could they make comments on what was in it anyway? I believe it's being pushed through as quickly as possible before the public actually discovers what's in it. Too late then.

You minimize the actions if you "like" the politician and call it 'disruption' if you don't like the pol. The rest is your opinion. IMO, Bush did not deserve the loony shit sent his way from 2001 on.
