We could probably pay for health care.

I think churches should be willing to give for the life and health of the people.

HaHaHa

Sorry I forgot who we were talking about.

All religious orgs. should lose property tax exemptions. Many communities are overburdened, as these organizations spread.

I'm in favor of giving them a sales tax exemption, in order to conduct charitable business.

How did that ever start? ( tax free exemption)

Probably back when the church sat at the top of the food chain...followed by royalty, and then the noble knights, etc.

that and the separation of church and state. Tax them and they can directly lobby the government.

Christians are the only number one donator to charities through out the nation.

Might starve a few Americans but that might also mean less welfare so I guess we got a plus side.

Fake churches are already pushing political causes. Liberty University, Pat Robertson are just a few examples. If churches and Murdoch went away who would spread the false information?

All tax exemptions need to go away and replaced with a flat or regressive tax.

The fact that US corporations are getting a tax free ride is the real scandal.

Historically corporations paid the majority of US government revenue.
It is only in recent decades that we have become the corporate welfare state,
taking from working people to subsidize parasitic, unproductive corporations, including reckless, ruinous banks.

Isn't a tax-exempt status for churchs really a Federal/tax payer subsidy for religion?

Do you have a "thing" for churches?

The law includes all "religious" orgs....and supposed "non profits".

Even meditation retreats classify, as well as vacation properties that are portrayed as "schools".

There is no limit to the avenues available, if you want to work the system.

Another wonderful benefit of global economy.
Keep your largest profits out of the USA.
Best of both worlds.
