Is this possible?For a govt-run system? Yes. It is inevitable and unsustainable without rationing. That is also one of the multi-faceted purposes of a National Healthcare database. It won't just be "terminal" patients. It will be anyone without a "return", meaning not a lot of years of taxpaying left. That will automatically rule out the elderly and terminally ill.

Many times, prognoses turn out to be wrong. It should be up to the PATIENT, not a damn bureaucrat to decide when someone should die.

Now there are some exceptions.

but everybody thinks they are special.
