I can understand why Americans don't accept it. Who wants to admit there's a chance they may have to be let die, so to speak... I certainly don't want to linger on if the prognosis isn't great.... What point to just being a vegetable? Not for me.... What's the point of using a pacemaker if one has terminal cancer, anyway?
