Finally,
Great great things.
Washington will be in full swing after Labor Day and I plan to be right in the mix.
I will keep folks updated on the latest BEFORE it gets on cable news or in the newpapers.
Haven't been in the studio lately but my back catelog is deep.
Gonna plant a fall garden and grow it in the winter [greenhouse].
Busy busy busy!
There's no place like Washington to be right in the thick of things.
Hope the healthcare reform bill flops. I think we need reform, but haste
makes waste and creates disasters. They ought to take their time with it and get it right. The last thing we need is another bureaucracy telling us what to do.

Lemme guess? Hawg. He could be HarperLee without the PC facade, double-starched corset and spackle make-up. Or is that car primer? :lmao2:

I can't get insurance because of a preexiting asthma condition.
Whatever passes, I just want somebody to take my $200-$300 a month and sell me some insurance.

You got just what you wanted. Corporate run, capitalist, for-profit-only health care. And they, in the infinite wisdom, decided YOU don't deserve to be covered. Live with it, or die with it, just remember, you got what you wanted.

Eman, have you applied at more than one company? If not, you should as they all have different guidelines. Many times, they will simply put a rider on the condition or rate it up dependent upon the company.

Do you still not see the problem the Democrats, and only the Democrats are trying to solve? Why should he have to fuckin pay more for a very common condition that he was more than likely born with...i'm only assuming that part because i'm not really a DR., but i have seen them on TV. And I need health insurance for asthma too. It is what will probably kill me.
But no hospitalizations or emergency room visits in years.

It's clear you don't grasp the reasoning. Insurance companies base their decisions on risk assessment. IOW, they are gambling that you aren't going to get sick. It it is a reason people need to keep continuous coverage. You wouldn't be approved for car insurance the night after you wreck your car or if you have previously wrecked 10 cars and have 4 DUIs. You wouldn't be approved for homeowners insurance the day after your house burns down. It is the same premise here. None of these companies would be in business if they did not assess risk. Period.

This is my take on it. I think it would be a great idea to have a govt subsidized plan LIMITED to those who are denied insurance due to Pre-X or for those who GENUINELY cannot afford it. I'm not talking about those with a brand new Acura and all the amenities who cry poor-mouth but those geniunely in an income bracket to qualify. There is no reason to dismantle our entire health care system to simply cover a fraction.

Eman, an instant solution would be getting a job which offers group coverage. Many companies even offer part-time employees full coverage group insurance, and with that you have guaranteed coverage for EVERYTHING.

We don't need to dismantle the entire health system.
America has the best health care system in the world.
But you shouldn't have to be poor to purchase the government option.
I'm not poor.
I just can't buy private insurance.
I would pay up to $300-$400 a month.
If the private sector will not provide it then the federal government should.
Like UPS and Federal Express versus the U.S. Postal Service

Who doesnt have a real need for coverage? Who makes the decision of who is worthy of it and who is not?
My response wasn't meant to be mutually exclusive. Since I was responding to Eman, I addressed his particular situation.
Everyone deserves to be covered....those who are without, those who have been dropped because of an illness, those who have lost their jobs, expectant single mothers, children, the elderly and anyone else I have forgotten.
I'd be willing to pay a special tax for HC coverage for all Americans. Just don't take away our choices of doctors, and let him/her decide how to treat us.
I don't want some civil servant making those decisions by proxy. That's all I'm asking; leave us with our choices.

cookie, you would rather have a person who decides if you get treatement, motivated to deny coverage for profit reasons, in essence, getting paid more to deny coverage, than some civil servant who gets paid the same regardless of whether you get treatment or not?
Think about that for a minute, you want a profit driven insurance bureaucrat making that decision, by proxy, than a civil servant, who's job is to serve the public, like a cop or fireman?
oh and insurance companies tell you what doctors you can go see now. and they tell you everything about YOUR treatment, under reform, that won't happen, your doctor and you will decide. Period.

Don;'t totally revamp it.
Just provide a public option for those of us who are turned down by the private sector insurance companies.
I am a bad investment. But hopefully the government will see some value in me getting a few more years to pursue happiness.
Clearly Eman is a benefit to society and merits some government support in extending his meager life for a few more years.
Drop one more F-22 fighter and let him in.
Build one les B1 bomber for the destruction.
Construct one less neutron weapon for the annihilation of man.
It is not welfare for I will pay a monthly fee.
Though the cost benefit might not work out for the government.
Eman is worth it.
Wayers likes Eman but he finds it hard to believe that there is not insurance out there for you. Have you tried your car insurance agent, they usually can get for anyone. When I was contracting I had 5k deductable and it was less than 200/month.

cookie, you would rather have a person who decides if you get treatement, motivated to deny coverage for profit reasons, in essence, getting paid more to deny coverage, than some civil servant who gets paid the same regardless of whether you get treatment or not?
Think about that for a minute, you want a profit driven insurance bureaucrat making that decision, by proxy, than a civil servant, who's job is to serve the public, like a cop or fireman?
oh and insurance companies tell you what doctors you can go see now. and they tell you everything about YOUR treatment, under reform, that won't happen, your doctor and you will decide. Period.
I hope you are right Kan. But I'm fairly certain that the bureaucrat will have guidelines to follow too.
There is the apathetic civil servant who is mired in red tape and paperwork, who has no stake whatsoever in if I get a procedure covered or not.
At 5:00, they go home....that's the goal they work toward every day.

I got stung by a hornet last weekend. Was burning out two underground nests in the backyard with gasoline.
That damned stinger must have lodged in my hand cause it itched for about 3 to 4 days.

But what are the implications of that?
It is a philosophical question.
Not one to ponder but to examine right now in minute detail.
Who is this Eman and what is the source of his superpowers?
Who is this superhero among mere mortals?
What is his purpose?
What does he want?
Why do all the ladies love him so much?

Come on now Eman, since we've only just met recently, why in the heck should you give a poop as to what I think of you. I'm just a nobody that loves to play online....Just like millions of others. I'm just being me...plain and simple. What you see or hear is what you get. Not a damn thing super fisicial about me. I am what I am and that's all that I am. Nothing more. Nothing less.
I'm not multi talented by any stretch of the imagination. I can't sing. Nor do I dance all that well, no matter how hard I try. Heck, until recently I have always wondered why God had put me on this earth to begin with. I have nothing special to offer the world. I'm no ones hero. I've pondered over and over as to what my purpose was to be..why am I here? I've thought about this a lot over the last 20 years. And the only thing I can come up with is that I have the gift of making people feel comfortable. Of making them laugh. Of playing the fool for a chuckle.. Of making people feel better about themselves. Of having them eating out of my hands over some silly thing I'v slammed them with... Of being able to get along with everyone..
I don't know if those are the reasons why I'm here or not. All I know is that I haven't been able to come up with any better ones.
I like people for who they are inside and not for what they look like on the outside. And the sexiest quality any person can have is an excellent sense of humor...A terrific sense of humor surpasses all else with me. That's the utmost thing I look for in a person. Whether or not he or she is able to make the world feel better just from the silliness they toss around is super sexy. Humor draws others to you.
I don't know you very well, Eman, but I do know this much thus far. You are a very strong individual...You are a very kind and loving man. You are a deep thinker when the urge arises for you to think in depth. You are a person of faith. You have strong convictions. You enjoy life. And you don't hurt others. I can't sing but I cut music videos anyway.

Funny thing about humor, if you have it, it protects you from the nasty things that can circle around us. One is more apt to walk away from adversity a stronger individual with humor as ones friend. Not everyone has humor. In fact, most people are seriously lacking in that department. How utterly sad, as humor is a surefire turn on. Quaisy Moto could be the ugliest person on the planet, but if he had a terrific sense of humor, he would then become the sexiest. Humor has a way of making us look past the outside layer of a person and into the soul of that being. It's a connector. It connects us to others with humor. Humor attracks humor which attracts those without.

This is true. People love to destroy that which they cannot have. How very sad for them. I like to embrace others and draw them into my web of humor. The world can never have enough humor. But some people want to rip up a connection that others may have only because they, themselves do not have that connection. Jeliousy makes people do strange things. Connections come about in various ways. Maybe two totally different people like the same sort of literature, therefore they connect and discuss it. Or maybe they are drawn together for a love of music. Or maybe two people have had the same sort of abusive background, while growing up. And could be two people just flat out connect because they each have the gift of humor. So there are all sorts of connectors. We each have to find the things that aids us in connecting with others. But without humor, the world is a cold and unfriendly place.

Or maybe they are drawn together for a love of music. Or maybe two people have had the same sort of abusive background, while growing up. And could be two people just flat out connect because they each have the gift of humor. So there are all sorts of connectors. We each have to find the things that aids us in connecting with others.
DCJ has brought us together in a world of amusement. You be the joker. I'll be the clown.
Let us make laughter together.
But without humor, the world is a cold and unfriendly place.
For evil will find its way into joy if allowed.
It will try to push the door open.
God only knows what is waiting for it on the other side of that door.
Or is that Satan?

I am a warrior. But have an appreciation for the daffodil.
One must be ready to go from 0 to 99 in an instant.
For love and war are two sides of the same coin.
You are the web. I am the spider.
Our web is strong and our venom stronger.
The evil doers are among us. They are the fungus among us.
You telling me. I try to stay away from that spiritual as much as possible.

Evil has always walked among us. It does not seek to walk alone.
If we can make others laugh, we won't need to frown. :D

Silly stuff Eman. We are both time wasters as we sit here tossin' about the bullpucky back and forth. :lmao2:
It has come to my attention, thru an email sent to me by my sister in law, that Obama has plans in the works for moving those Gitmo prisoners to Standish Mi, where they will reside, at our expense, in a prison that happens to be approx. 45 min. from my front door. How lucky for me. It seems that the people of Standish, are in an uproar about it and are seeking help in getting this action stopped.
What I don't understand, is, since Gitmo is in good condition to continue housing these terrorists, why is he so dead set on removing them from that facility and planting them here in my home state? A state, I might add, that has extremely easy access from one end to the other with various expressways that lead in and out of other states and into Canada. I just don't get it. He is certainly coming off as a huge liberal as everything he does screams, "I'm a lib, I'm a lib, "I'm a lib." And straight up a major expressway is where I call home. A hop, skip and a jump away from where this idiot wants to plant them.
I'm getting a lot more worried for our country, Eman, than I was even a year ago. And I was worried enough back then. Now it's beginning to frighten me.

Yes, Cos, as a matter of fact, I did get taken aback when I found out about each of those. Terrorists, no matter where they are from, scare the living shit out of me. And Tim McVeigh is from an hour and a halfs drive from here.
Things like this have always bothered me when I've learned of them. And in the condition our country is in today, I'm feeling even more rattled about such things.
And btw, hon, I'm not nor ever have been, a person to let things go unnoticed. When I see or hear of them, I carry that or those burdens with me.

Time is relative.
Time is meaningless to the immortal.
Which we will not be in this life, but we will be in the next.
You are young at heart. Youthful in mind.
Our bodies wear down with the passage of time.
Yet temporal is just that: temporary.
For your mind is unique in all the universe.

Even while the uncivilized insist on tribal warfare.

Unfortunately it is more often enmity and division that drives a thread.
Love and peace and harmony are not interesting to most people.
They prefer piss and vinegar.

Unfortunately, this is true. It appears they prefer war over love. :lmao2:
Personally, I prefer the sweet succulent taste of apple juice over that of piss and vinegar....hmmmm, just not my cup of tea. The nastiness of it all would leave a bitter after taste in my mouth...
And yes we do, intellect without the egotism reigns supreme....:lmao2:
And apparently the civilized love to war it out..............:lmao2:

Drinking one makes you happy. Drinking the other makes you sick.
I would rather be happy than sick.
And yes we do, intellect without the egotism reigns supreme.
People accuse me of ego. But it is really id.
And apparently the civilized love to war it out.
Admittedly, I am a man and men love competition. War is the ultimate competition.
Note that women rarely start wars. I think Margaret Thatcher was an exception.

So long as I don't drink much, (I'm not much of a drinker), then I won't get sick, which makes me happy.
:D :D
I don't. And I know what id is. :D
And yes, men love to war. They get aroused at the thought of it. And yes, it is the ultimate competition......:(
Think back....way, way, way back....wasn't there a woman who started a war, say back in Roman days? or somewhere in that era? Somewhere? huh? I'm not sure.

"wine makes happy the heart of man."
I have a glass with my meals.
I am fasting today.
And I know what id is.
I am mostly id.
My id subdues my ego.
And yes, men love to war. They get aroused at the thought of it. And yes, it is the ultimate competition.
Men are truly sick.
Women civilize us.

Women were the cause of wars.
Cleopatra.
Nerferttiri
Now maybe a woman is worth fighting over.

I don't know that anyone is worth fighting over. I know certain causes are. And most definitely freedom is the first cause that should be fought for.
Maybe Cleo and Nerf were the ones I was thinking about. But it seems there was someone else. Oh well. It's a non issue.

A wife. A child. Justice. Liberty.
There are things and people worth fighting for.

Yep, all of those. And maybe fighting for love, as it is very hard to come by.

Gort had no love. Just programming.
Klaatu had love for all of God's creatures.
I think Klaatu was a Christian.

"The Day The Earth Stood Still (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0043456/), 1951"
Stay with the video. The first few seconds just has a black screen.
Gort is the robot and Klaatu is the humanoid.

OK, now I remember as I have a copy of the original flick. Way before its time. A very good movie considering the era it came out in. I think I've watched it about five times, maybe more. :D

Better than the new version with Keannu Reaves.
Although if you knew what to expect going into the new version, you could enjoy it.
But the 1951 film was a classic.

Well this one is well worth seeing.
It is a classic. Even in black and white.
It will keep you interested from beginning to end.
One of my favorite movies of all time.
And of course, my avatars have always been Gort.
He and I have similar missions.

Eman, that is scary in itself!
Indeed it is.
Klaatu states what will happen if humanity poses a threat to intergalactic civilizations.
My mission is similar to that of Gort on boards.
My laser is sharp. My aim is true.
The message: be good.

There was a different 'tone' to films back then.
Just like the old television shows.
