Gasoline. Glad I don't got no long commute. The suburbs's are taking it from the oil companies today. Sideways...

" Gasoline prices have soared to levels never seen before as even the inflation-adjusted price for a gallon of unleaded topped the 1981 record spike in price that had stood for 26 years.

And higher prices could be on the way as Americans get ready to hit the road for the Memorial Day holiday and the start of the summer driving season.

Two different surveys found record high pump prices once again.

The nation's retailers say soaring gas prices are prompting U.S. consumers to cut back on their purchases and shopping trips.

The Lundberg Survey, a bi-weekly gas price tracking service, put the price of a gallon of unleaded at $3.18 in its latest reading released late Sunday, up more than 11 cents from its reading of two weeks ago."

Hopefully we can make it to 5 or 6 bucks before it goes back down.

it seems to me that the 14 billion in subsidies that congress cut off from the oil and gas companies was eating into profits so now we get a really early "summer demand" price increase which will never go away...

i love when the scroll on one of the news shows says stuff like "gas prices rise on the fear that blah blah blah might affect supply"

i might have the winning lotto numbers, just gimme the cash before the drawing :D

Condi wrote the white paper that's keeping prices high. Well, that and Cheney's energy plan along with Iran's posturing.

Remember when Fox News was saying that it's because of China's increasing need? Of course statistics kept showing that demand for oil has been going up only 1% to 2% a year since most other countries are finding other resources.
