My previous post should have indicated that my political leanings are for an independant candidate. I would have liked to see more people in support of Ron Paul this past election. Both the liberal and republican parties are almost equally corrupt.

If the Obama supporters on this board are OK with the government owning the computer that clicks on this website, what does this administration have to do before you say "Wait a minute, that is just going too far"?

What gullible idiots Glenn Beck and his supporters are. Anything that comes out of any Fox News pundit should be checked and verified for accuracy before posting on a public bulletin board. With all the false bullshit being spread out there, it's no wonder no one but the brain dead believe a word that comes from the conservative right. The website that issues the warning is esc.gov which is a password protected site that lets dealers into the DOT computer system to request money back for the vehicles sold with the rebate. Hell, let's just throw the DOT information system open to any Ivan, Abdullah or Chang who wants a little data!

I would not mind the gov owning my computer... I could use a nice new shiny one.... W/ lots of ram....
Keep in mind my friend not every one here is rich & self made millionaires like you & dog.... Most of us gotta work......... & we are working for someone else... So for us the choice is owned by the gov or owned by a company..........
That company can toss my ass out whenever it suites them..
That means I have no heathcare for my family....... If the gov is handling that my balls are not resting in the bosses hands... They are in mine... I prefer them in my hands.... :lmao2:
I know the up side. & I know the down side.....

Lol, this ain't rocket science. The dealers agree to certain terms in order to use the website to get reimbursed. It works a lot like many other government websites. Duh. And this talking point is all the more ridiculous because all you have to do is go to the website in question and see that it's just farcical nonsense.
I really find it amusing that the people who were defending domestic spying, warrantless wiretaps, torture, and data mining are getting out their tin foil hats over some made up nonsense their talking-head masters are spreading. :lmao2:
