For the newbies that want to learn how to post You tube vids.

First check out the vids, listen to them a bit to decide if you like a particular one or not. When you've picked one you want to post, highlight the embedded code. It'll be the second one on the right side of the page. Now copy it. Once you've done that, then go to the upper left hand corner and click on the YOU TUBE logo. Now you are all set to go to the page in our forum to post it. When you get on the forum page, go to make a new post. A blank page will come up and then click on the big "T" in the upper right corner of the page. A set of brackets should appear. Put your cursor in the center of them and paste your vid in. Done right, you should have a long paragragh....done incorrectly, you will only have one little line. In that case, just repeat from the beginning and do over. This may happen on occasion and you'll just have to repeat.

Sometimes, in newer vids, you won't be able to use that embedded code. It'll say, "embedded code not available." In that case you'll have to just copy and paste as normal and not use the YOU TUBE logo. That'll just post the link rather than the vid itself.

If you have any trouble and are confused, just shout and I'll do what I can to assist you.

Are YOU TUBE clips the only ones that can be embedded here?

Sony has a site for its entertainers with clips:

It looks like they do not want clips embedded from anyone else's site but theirs.

I tried to tweek the embedding here for a clip from there,
but I could not make it work.

As far as I know, yes. Those from other sources may just have to copy and paste the link.
