rg was banned once before but ladymod at scam.com interceded on his behalf and told sirmoby that rg had turned over a new leaf. I don't know the reason for the first ban but my guess would be that rg threw one of his little temper tantrums to piss of sirmoby or another mod. rg knew he was on double secret probation, but he threw another little temper fit again by flooding the thread with youtube videos with the express intent of pissing sirmoby off. I understand why sirmoby would choose to ban rg 5 days. I don't necessarily agree with the permanent ban but I can also understand why sirmoby would chose it and not want to bother again with someone he had permanently banned before.

RG has been banned many times and all reasons go back to drama and immaturity.

The first time I banned him was for calling a woman a cunt. So we made a rule about it.

Then he was banned for bumping 20+ of his own threads so that no new threads appeared on the front page. I think all of threads came from bloggers instead of news sources.

Then he was banned for posting basically the same article coming from multiple bloggers about a dozen times so that, no one else could post on the front page again.

The pattern continued until he was banned permanently.

The rules for slurs, bumping and spam are for RG alone. Everyone else has been mature enough to not need such rules.

When I recommended Smurf to be a mod he asked if RG could come back. I agreed even though he has tried to keep all opinions out that aren't supported by the people that he follows and I think he's emotionally unstable. Smurf agreed to keep a close eye on him but also admitted that he would treat him special.

In a week I saw that RG was up to the same old shit so I offered two warnings (which is two more then he deserved) and Smurf was allowing it. Third times a charm. I felt that a 5 day ban was more then acceptable with RG's history.

Looking at Smurf's response and the response of a small select following, I realize that I never should have agreed to allow RG back. Some people are just not capable of rational thought and we don't need Drama Queens here or any where else.

Would anyone else have been banned for it? No way. Three strikes you're out. A dozen strikes is too silly. I should have known better.

Normally when people have problems with such things they would just move on. Watch the Drama Queens in the near future. I'm sure that they will take emotional instability to a new level.

A few weeks ago I started a thread I think on heath care... I posted the original post supporting it. My second post in response was debunking/attacking the first argument... (I don't think anyone has ever done this that I am aware of...)

Needlesstosay I only got a few hits. I posted it on 4 sites...... The few that I got were asking me if I realized what I had done...... I think had I posted either of them I would have gotten several replies........ Perhaps there is something to learn in that...????

Ppl (like attorneys) layout their best arguments (even if they are not very good) & challenge others to discuss/debunk it...... I wish ppl would be more upfront/honest about the short comings in their arguments but that is rarely the case......
