I've banned 3 people in the past 12 months. One for repeated posting false information. One for claiming a man a killer and another for a man spamming and he's been banned numerous times before for the same thing.

When I first got her not to long ago things were a bit wilder but as time goes on things evolve & change.... SOme don't adapt to well........

I had issues w/ Smurf & vise verse... We were able to amicably & peacefully resolve whatever differences we had........

My main contention with SirMoby is, pretty much what others already have stated. My thoughts earlier in the year concerning new rules was in response to SirMoby wanting new rules. It was somewhat extensive, clearly spelling everything out; in a lot of ways limiting his ability to just ban people for vague reasons.

However, he continues to push, going through with new rules as he needs them, to cover his banning people he doesn't like for personal political reasons. And trying to give the impression that I somehow have agreed to the changes. But I don't agree with the premise that I'm a part of this. I dropped the new rules; and have primarily concentrated on just interpreting the old rules, in a fair manner.

I refuse to be a part of the board authority if SirMoby is going to come in out of the blue and ban people for lame interpretations of the rules or rules he makes up as he goes along. I can't have this and still feel any credibility as a moderator. It's like Obama giving Biden a free hand to make contrary statements - that actually become contrary policy. It turns being a moderator into a sick joke.

Bottom line is, there's no point in moderating as long as SirMoby can ban people on a whim.

What did he do this time?
After I warned Radio Guy a couple of times for ignoring some basic rules, which Smurf was happy to let him to do, I banned him for 5 days I sent Smurf a PM which he responded to.

RG has been banned numerous times for spamming, gender slurs, thread bumping and I can't remember what else. Bill finally banned him permanently. Smurf requested that we bring him back and I said that I was OK with it as long as he followed some very basic rules.

It seems that RG is not adult enough to do that.

Smurf came in here and unbanned. I simply put the ban back in place. Smurf has a PM from me and he's welcome to respond to it in a mature manner but hasn't yet.

People who have fixed their positions debate all the time. Liberals never admit they are wrong so I don't see what the problem is. I debate them because its fun to watch them back themselves into a corner and then do the predictable: spin, ignore you, or insult you. Either way its a win for me. :D

With regards to calling out BlackasCoal, he called me a racist, which in today's society is a heinous insult. He did it obviously to squelch debate since his positions are so weak. If he's uncomfortable reading my posts then I suggest that he ignore me. But that won't prevent me from challenging him when I choose to. It doesn't hinder his use of the board in any way unless he chooses to let it.
