"The new DNA test shows a neighbor, Clifton Hall, 49, was the source of semen found at the scene. Hall, who testified against Halsey at trial, is now in prison for three sex crimes in early 1990s, authorities said."

Looks like the police bullied him into making a false confession. Or maybe they just made up the confession.

Allowing the real criminal to go on and commit more sex crimes - they don't say if he killed more kids.

But those cops probably felt great when they conspired to pin the crime on an innocent man.

Our whole policing system needs to be rebuilt from the ground up.

It's just a horrible situation and I agree, the policing system in America certainly needs a careful review. This is one of the reasons I'll never support the death penalty...there's just too many mistakes that can be made and the system is too flawed to give such a final sentence.

However, 22 years, I don't know how a person can make up for that kind of lost time.
